a surprising number of said projects involve real OSes and have some application logic written in Python. really though for wider applicability I think we need a FreeRTOS port of this thing

I think the other mattd was a humorous fork -- the daemon in mattray/mattd actually doesn't do anything

i don't honestly remember; it was mostly just something i bumped into every so often for a while and thought was amusing; haven't been reminded of it in, like, a couple years, tho, i think. ( or, well, probably at least since i moved to arch, uh, so like at least a year and a half. meh. )
